Confirmed via official town site. As of May 19, 2025 all Building Department applications must be submitted digitally through the OpenGov portal and no payments are accepted at the counter. No direct department email address is published on the site (correspondence is routed through the OpenGov portal or by phone); a general staff directory exists at ehamptonny.gov but was not checked for individual emails. Be careful not to confuse this with the separately-governed Village of East Hampton, which has its own Building Department at easthamptonvillage.gov.
